About BeneTech Administrators

Our History

In February of 1986, BeneTech Administrators, Inc. was founded by Tom Virkler JD and Alan Spain as an independent Third Party Administrator (TPA).

The initial primary goal was to provide outsourced administrative service for the newly released IRS Code Section 125 (Cafeteria Plans) which included the Medical and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA's).

Alan’s father, Billy Spain, Sr. also owned a TPA firm, Fringe Benefit Administrators, Inc. (FBA) which provided administrative services for employer retirement plans. When Mr. Spain retired, it was a natural progression for BeneTech to acquire FBA and venture into the qualified retirement market.

BeneTech Administrators, Inc. has now grown into a regional independent TPA firm, providing cost effective servicing of tax qualified plans. While our dominant market is the southeast, we maintain clients throughout the US.

We provide cost saving service for all plan sizes and industries. One of our specialties is multi-location employers which allow us to assist Human Resources in communicating these plans to all locations.
